Happy June!- Health, Exercise, Fitness, Workout, Personal Training ...

No matter how you plan for it, Summer at the beach seems to get on top of you fast. Our June schedule is online HERE and we are adding camps, special classes and events.? Let us know what you would like to see more of, and when.

Kids! We have a ton of questions about our kids programs and I?ll attempt to answer a few here. We work with all types and ages of kids with widely varying abilities. We do not (and can not) work with all these kids in the same groups. As much as anyone will tell you you can, you can?t. We have kids groups broken down into three simple groups.

Kids Fitness Challenge/Kids in Motion These groups are best suited for kids in grades 1-6 and will focus on a general fitness, getting more comfortable with being physical and having?fun! Tons of kids who ended up being fantastic athletes?started here. Running, jumping, pulling, pushing and learning how to work with others and (hopefully) build a life long love of being active.

Youth Conditioning These groups are comprised of athletes from various sports and of varying ages. This is all about GPP (General Physical Preparedness) with a lot of added work on? running, jumping, landing and cutting mechanics as well as lifting for power, strength and speed.?Non competitive athletes can get a great deal out of these, but most are playing competitive sports and the over riding goal is to get them ready to play at the next level. We have seen too many kids at ?speed camps?, ?agility clinics? and doing too much ?SAQ work while lacking too many basic skills and having a too-low level of fitness.

Sport Specific Training (SST) These kids posses a level of fitness and understand how to move and are prepared for sports. These groups are programmed for specific needs of their specific sport. It is all the right work at the right time for the right athlete. You will work on only what you will need for your upcoming sports and do the work to simply be better and have a better season.? These groups will take very fit kids who have played sports in the past, and give them the tools to play those sports better. This will be the class that takes you to the next level.

There is no ?system? in place where you must go from group to group to group. The kids in all the groups make great gains and the benefit of each is apparent in watching the kids from week to week.? We have tons of kids who show up in shape and jump right into to SST work and others that keep making huge gains in Youth Conditioning. There is also small group and private sessions that can be dialed in even more to fit the specific needs of your kids.
