GRAND FORKS ? On behalf of the residents, tenants, families and staff of Valley Memorial Homes, we the chairs of the Valley Memorial Homes 2013 Golf Tournament want to extend a huge thank you to the players, sponsors and volunteers who made this year?s event a successful one.
A well-deserved thank you to Valley Memorial Foundation staff for all of their hard work.
A special thank you as well to Vaaler Insurance, Health Care Insurance Services and Widseth Smith Nolting, which were our major sponsors; to King?s Walk and Eagles Crest, which hosted the event; and to Dan Hammer who served as emcee for the awards program.
Proceeds from this year?s event will be used for Valley Memorial Homes? newest facility ? Cherrywood Village. Cherrywood Village is located west of Tufte Manor on Cherry Street. This building will consist of 30 one-bedroom apartments and will provide housing for low-income individuals age 62 and over.
A walkway will connect Tufte Manor to Cherrywood Village so that tenants can participate in social activities and enjoy nutritious meals.
We look forward to next year?s event and hope Herald readers will consider being partners as we enhance the mission of Valley Memorial Homes, which is to provide compassionate care and service from a Christian perspective to enhance the quality of life for those served.
