Tickets to this black-tie optional bash include live entertainment on two stages; delicious and diverse foods and desserts from more than 25 of the markets most revered merchants; 2 open bars featuring specialty cocktails, beer, wine and a 120th Anniversary Commemorative Beer from Philadelphia Brewing Company. Saturday, March 3rd; 4PM for contestants, 5:30PM for spectators
The good food-loving folks behind the Philly-based blog BigBite are inviting area chili-makers and eaters to join them at the 3rd Annual Philly Chili Bowl. Chili connoisseurs are asked to submit an application to compete by Wednesday, February 29 ($10 entry fee). If If you?re more into the chili-eating than you are the making, then come out and try all the delicious bowls and judge the contestants in the People?s Choice round ? all for just $5. Proceeds benefit Project H.O.M.E.

This annual fundraiser for Fair Food brings together more than 50 restaurants, breweries and distilleries and is an all-you-can-eat-and-drink event. It?s a great way to explore new restaurants and discover your next favorite brew while at the same time supporting Fair Food Philadelphia. The Philly Farm and Food Fest

The very first Philly Farm & Food Fest is a collaboration between Fair Food and PASA (Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture). The Fest will feature regional farmers, food producers, artisanal food businesses, and other providers of sustainable goods and services from across our region and provide consumers the opportunity to connect with them, try product and attend a variety of workshops. Philadelphia Science Festival ? Grow It, Cook It, Eat It
Bartram?s Garden
Sunday, April 22nd; Noon ? 3PM
Join celebrity chef Daisy Martinez, Fair Food, Penn Urban Nutrition Initiative, The Food Trust, The Restaurant School, Urban Scavengers, PA Horticultural Society and The Franklin Institute as you explore the path your food takes from garden to table. Stations throughout Bartram?s Garden will pair a horticultural expert with a chef to demonstrate how to grow and cook a variety of homegrown vegetables. Part of the Franklin Institute?s Philadelphia Science Festival, this event will help explain the science behind growing and cooking your own food. Tickets will go on sale soon, again, we?ll be sure to keep you updated.
6th Annual Flavors of the Avenue

For the past six years, we have dedicated the last Saturday in April to attending this South Philadelphia foodie extravaganza. Designed to be a showcase for restaurants along East Passyunk, Flavors also helps raise funds to support the East Passyunk neighborhood. Organizers are still finalizing the details, so stay tuned, we?ll be sure to keep you updated once tickets go on sale.
Burger Brawl

Some of the biggest burger bosses (think chefs like Marcie Turney, Daniel Stern, Matt Levin, etc) in the city will be at Meredith Elementary School in Queen Village grilling up their own most popular burger. Ticket proceeds go towards supporting Meredith Elementary and helping it?s students get a refurbished computer lab. The brainchild of Rob and Maggie Wasserman, owners of Rittenhouse Square?s Rouge, Burger Brawl is entering its second year. Tickets will go on sale in April.
Taste of the Nation Philadelphia

Join Chef Chair, Kevin Sbraga at Share Our Strength?s Taste of the Nation event which brings together the area?s top chefs, mixologists and restaurants to end childhood hunger. Guests will sample a bounty of culinary delights and select wine and beer. The beneficiaries of Taste of the Nation Philadelphia are Philabundance, The Food Trust, The Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger, and The Pennsylvania Hunger Action Center. Tickets are on sale now and if purchased between now and March 19th you?ll receive a $15 discount.
Alex?s Lemonade Stand ? The Great Chef?s Event
Tuesday, June 12th; 6-9PM
Urban Outfitter?s Headquarter at the Philadelphia Navy Yard
One of the more coveted foodie tickets, The Great Chef?s Event raises funds to support the Alex?s Lemonade Stand Foundation. Chef Marc Vetri, through his Vetri Foundation for Children, helps to organize more than 40 local, national and international chefs and mixologists to raise funds for children?s cancer research. And, aside from raising money for the most worthy of causes, it is a gastronomic party of epic proportions.
